1973 and OLDER HD SUPER STOCK RULES

IN STOCK AND STOCK BASED CLASSES, NO CHANGES OR MODIFICATIONS ALLOWED UNLESS SPECIFICALLY ALLOWED BY THESE RULES.  IF THESE RULES DO NOT SPECIFICALLY ALLOW A CHANGE OR MODIFICATION, THEN IT MUST BE ASSUMED THAT THE CHANGE OR MODIFICATION IS NOT ALLOWED.

1973 AND OLDER HD SUPER STOCK CLASS

 

SNOWMOBILE

●         Must be production line model with a fan-cooled, single cylinder motor that was offered in 1973 or before.

DRIVERS

●         Must be 16 years of age or older.

 MOTOR REGULATION

●         You may substitute any motor in your chassis if it was offered in that brand of sled any year, ie: if it ever came with a Sachs you can run any Sachs single

●         Clutch – Original, Comet 94c Duster, or Power Block.

●         No decreasing of rotating mass in stock classes

●         Carb – Original or other diaphragm type of 2 15/16 inch bolt pattern.           

●         Exhaust & Muffler – Original or stock replacement (Must be a Can muffler) it may be reinforced.  No Tuners and no cutting the muffler open.

●         Motor must remain stock (no grinding on ports or any internal parts of motor).

●         Motor must use a point’s style ignition (no CDI’s)

●         Winners of class may be torn down at the end of the day

CHASSIS REGULATIONS

· 1973 & OLDER chassis but may use 1976 and older suspensions, chain cases, and clutches all of same brand.  Aftermarket shocks are allowed.  No Jackshaft chassis.

●         Skis – original or stock replacement.  No ski skins.   Carbide runners and spreaders are allowed.  You may use different manufacturers’ skis but, no aluminum and no aftermarket.

●         You may add a hydraulic brake system in the original brake location.

●         Snow flaps must touch ice/snow when rider is sitting.

●         Fuel tanks – original brand may substitute a different size tank as long as it is 1976 or older, you may use an aftermarket tank, but the aftermarket tank must not exceed 5 gallons.

●         Hood – need not be original

●         8” visible numbers on each side of hood, these numbers are used for lap counting purposes.  IF THESE NUMBERS CAN NOT BE READ YOU MAY NOT BE COUNTED.

●         Studs should measure 3/8” above the track, or as close as possible.

YOU MAY:

●         Change gear ratio.

●         Change clutch weights and springs.

●         Change Seat / Handle Bars / Running Boards for driver comfort

●         You may replace your cleated track with a rubber track, or vice versa.

●         Use Ice Scratchers for your slide suspension.
