1973 and OLDER FACTORY STOCK RELIC CLASS RULES

IN STOCK AND STOCK BASED CLASSES, NO CHANGES OR MODIFICATIONS ALLOWED UNLESS SPECIFICALLY ALLOWED BY THESE RULES.  IF THESE RULES DO NOT SPECIFICALLY ALLOW A CHANGE OR MODIFICATION, THEN IT MUST BE ASSUMED THAT THE CHANGE OR MODIFICATION IS NOT ALLOWED.

1973 AND OLDER FACTORY STOCK RELIC CLASS

The purpose of this class is to allow original factory stock sleds to compete in a class of their own.

SNOWMOBILE

●         must be production line model with a fan-cooled, single cylinder motor that was offered in 1973 or before.  Motor must match chassis.

DRIVER

*         Must be 16 years of age or older.

 MOTOR REGULATION

*         Motors NOT allowed:  Yamaha, Kawasaki, Hirth 338, Sachs sa290C, sa290SS, sa290R, sa320, sa340SS, sa340C,  sa340 chrome bore, sa340SS chrome bore, 250 polaris, sa340R, sa368 with a HD carb, sa400, JLO 290R/340R, Rotax 292 TNT & 340 TNT

●         Clutch – Original, Comet 94c Duster, or Power Block, Clutches have to remain STOCK, no changing to aluminum or lightening any of the stock components of the clutch, besides the normal weights and springs.

●         No decreasing of rotating mass.

●         Carb – Must be the original size and brand for that snowmobile.          

●         Exhaust & Muffler – Original or stock replacement. (Must be a Can muffler) it may be reinforced.  No Tuners and no cutting the muffler open.

●         Motor must remain stock (no grinding on ports or any internal parts of motor).

●         Motor must use a point’s style ignition (no CDI’s)

●         Winners of class may be torn down at the end of the day

CHASSIS REGULATIONS

●         1973 & OLDER.  Panther chassis only for arctic cat riders.

●         Skis – original or stock replacement only.   Carbide runners are allowed. 

●         Snow flaps must touch ice when rider is sitting.

●         Fuel tanks – must remain original and in original location.

●         Hood – must be original.

●         8” visible numbers on each side of hood, these numbers are used for lap counting purposes.  IF THESE NUMBERS CAN NOT BE READ YOU MAY NOT BE COUNTED.

●         Suspension must be the original system.

●         Studs should measure 3/8” above the track, or as close as possible.

· Track may be replaced with a new track of the same length.  NO light weight tracks or cleats.

           Cleated must remain cleated, rubber must remain rubber.

●         Seats must remain stock size and shape. (no aftermarket leopard print may be used on Cats)

●         No handlebar modification or hookers.

 YOU MAY:

●         Change gear ratio.

●         Change clutch weights and springs.

●         Paint your sled or use decals to make it look faster.

●         Adding carbides, studs, tether & safety devices are the only modifications allowed.
