1980 and OLDER FACTORY STOCK CLASS

IN STOCK AND STOCK BASED CLASSES, NO CHANGES OR MODIFICATIONS ALLOWED UNLESS SPECIFICALLY ALLOWED BY THESE RULES.  IF THESE RULES DO NOT SPECIFICALLY ALLOW A CHANGE OR MODIFICATION, THEN IT MUST BE ASSUMED THAT THE CHANGE OR MODIFICATION IS NOT ALLOWED.

1980 and OLDER FACTORY STOCK CLASS

 

SNOWMOBILE

●         must be production line, fan cooled or free air, single cylinder model offered in 1980 or before.  No race models.

DRIVERS

●         Must be 16 years of age.

 MOTOR REGULATION

●         Clutch – Original, Comet 94c Duster, or Power Block.  Clutches have to remain STOCK, no changing to aluminum or lightening any of the stock components of the clutch, besides the normal weights and springs.

●         No decreasing of rotating mass in stock classes.

●         Carbs – Original or diaphragm type of equal or lesser bore.  No REED VALVES.

●         Exhaust & Muffler – Original or stock replacement (Must be a Can muffler) it may be reinforced.  No Tuner and no cutting the muffler open.

●         Motor must remain stock.  There may be tear downs.

 CHASSIS REGULATIONS

●         Must have leaf spring front suspension.

●         Skis – original or stock replacement.  No ski skins.   Carbide runners and spreaders are allowed.  You may use different manufacturers’ skis, but no aluminum and no aftermarket.

●         Snow flaps must touch ice/snow when rider is sitting.

●         Fuel tanks – original or of same size

●         Hood – full sized (need not be original)

●         8” visible numbers on each side of hood, these numbers are used for lap counting purposes.  IF THESE NUMBERS CAN NOT BE READ YOU MAY NOT BE COUNTED.

●         Suspension may be reinforced but must include entire complete original system.

●         You may add a hydraulic brake system in the original brake location.

TRACK

●         You may use any track that you can find that will fit.

●         Studs should measure 3/8” above the track, or as close as possible.

YOU MAY:

●         Change gear ratio.

●         Change clutch weights and springs.

●         Change Seat / Handle Bars / Running Boards for driver comfort.

●         Use Ice Scratchers for your slide suspension.
