13th Annual One Lunger 100 Results

Thank you racers and crews for another great R.O.L.A. One Lunger 100! There
were 52 sleds in the HR class, 37 sleds in the HD class and 13 sleds in the Relic
class for a total of 102 vintage sleds out on the track. What an awesome sight
to see! The race started at 11:06 and it was 2:02 when the “overall” winner
came in for the checkered flag.

Prettiest Sled: #68 – Todd Danelski and Jake Danelski, Willow River, Minnesota
with the patriotic themed Scorpion.
Cosmetically Challenged: #68 – Craig Crowl, Park Falls, Wisconsin with
“The Crayola Cat.”
Loudest Sled: #66 – Doug Skersick, Bemidji, Minnesota, on a Viking with
serious exhaust issues.
Sportsmanship Award: #112 – Jeff Zalatoris, Springbrook, Wisconsin.
Going above and beyond helping a fellow racer.
Oldest Driver: #37 – Charlie Wise, Appleton, Wisconsin. His name says it all!
Longest Distance Travelled to Race: #17 – Dustin Legatt, Anchorage, Alaska
(3350 miles)! Dustin is serving our country in the Air Force and is stationed
in Alaska. Thanks Dustin for coming to race and for your service to the USA!
Also, thanks to the crew from upstate New York! #57 Tom Stack and
#89 George Dieffenbacher and Steve Thorp – thanks guys for coming to
Minnesota. We’ll see you next year!
Tough Luck Award: #58 Brian Miliander – he broke down on his last lap
500 feet from the finish line (right before the zig zags), got towed back
to the pits, got his sled going in the pit and ran another lap around to get counted.
Turkey Award: #80 Nick Butze – he got the award for dragging an 8′ long
feather boa behind him for a lap during the race before the flag man
caught up to him and made him take it off. Nick also got the other
turkey award because we couldn’t think of anyone else!
